Dr. Wayne specializes in lumbar spine surgery and general orthopedics. In addition to being a dedicated researcher and educator, he invented a positioning device for lumbar spine surgery that revolutionized the surgical technique improving operative exposure, minimizing blood loss and overall patient safety.

Because of his keen interest in high school sports, Dr. Wayne served as a team physician for many years at Webster Groves High School. His volunteer work as a general practice physician at the Neighborhood Clinic in Collier County Florida, brought him full circle to his beginnings in medicine serving the disadvantaged.

He and wife, Ruth are proud of the accomplishments of their five children and enjoy their seven grandchildren. Once an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer, he now continues to enjoy swimming, biking and physical fitness activities in general.
